Olympian joins Don’t Look Away campaign

Gold medal gymnast Jordyn Wieber has teamed with Mary Kay to support the “Don’t Look Away” campaign. By texting “love is” to 77054, teens can get information and support from a trained peer advocate.

“I feel very strongly about because I have two sisters of my own. And I have fans and friends and teammates. So if I can prevent even one person from having to go through this, then I would love to do that,” Wieber said.

AcaciaWater Wars for DASH

We’re so happy to thank Greg Stofko and his fraternity brothers of Acacia International Fraternity of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) for their generous donation of $120 raised during their AcaciaWater Wars event!  Several fraternities and sororities participated and from the photos below, it looks like everyone had a great time!

As Greg stated on the Acacia website:

Today [May 5, 2013] we just had our first-ever AcaciaWater Wars philanthropy event, and may I just say it went amazing! All the money that was raised will be going to the non-profit organization, D.A.S.H. (Dating Abuse Stops Here). The pictures of the event will be uploaded as soon as possible. We also would like to say thank you to all the IUP Greek fraternities and sororities that participated. Can’t wait till the next AcaciaWater Wars!!!

Greg has been a huge supporter of DASH with his DASH4IUP website https://sites.google.com/site/dash4iup/ to educate students about the dangers of teen dating abuse.
